My Crush Who Isn't Real..?

Last night I had a dream that I met this boy named Paul who I immediately crushed on. For some reason the dream started out as myself and my sister driving to a party and we drove passed a serious car accident. It wasn't so much a car accident but a very brutal attack on another. Another version of what happened on the Greyhound bus in Edmonton ( I think that's where it happened ). Anyways, we went to the party & the party was canceled but there were still a few people there. Someone we didn't know was in the house and it was sort of like a break in. We were all hiding in the living room & I met this boy Paul. I am in a long term relationship and have been for three years, and the same was in my dream. I had the same boyfriend and the same problems.
This boy Paul really caught my attention with his kindness and something I've never seen before in a boy. To me they were all the same until Paul. I woke up and fell back asleep returning to the same spot in my dream.
Paul knew i had a boyfriend but he understood and we cuddled and made out though i still had my boyfriend. I wanted to break up with my existing boyfriend because he was so unkind to me and i felt trapped. Paul again understood and i told him i would break up with my boyfriend. I couldn't do it and I woke up without knowing what happened next.
Even though I'm awake and not dreaming anymore, I still wish that there was a Paul in my life. It's like I'm crushing on a non-existing person and I find it really weird.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a dream where they wake up and wish that the person in their dream was a part of their life. Or if anyone knows what this dream means? I'm a strong believer that all dreams have meanings.
