in therapy today i stumbled upon certain traits that i have that i never really considered unique before. but now i'm really looking into it. i've always been really empathic, so much so that it becomes overwhelming. i also involuntarily mimic someone's actions (usually while watching a movie) which i found out today is a result of mirror neurons (the thing that makes you yawn when others yawn). i found that interesting because scientist believe that mirror neurons are also responsible for hyper-empathic people's ability to feel what they "see." in addition, i've almost always been able to finish people's sentences when they're confiding in me. but i never really thought any of these things were worth examining before today. is there a connection? what do you all think?
