Why Me!?

I have had Epilepsy since before I was born. My mom felt the seizure when she was 12 weeks pregnant with me. It went into remission when I was 6. Then it started to come back slowly throughout the years. Then when I was 11, I had a seizure in the middle of sleeping and woke up in an ambulance. I have had them ever since. The location of my seizures have never been found. They last for 20 minutes or longer so 911 has to be called. I have butted chunks out of my tongue, and have bitten the tip off, I have broken my wrist, finger, arm, elbow, knee, leg, ankle, foot, toes and jaw because I fall when j have them and have no warning signs. I have been on so many medicines but I am allergic to all of them. My doctors had me get the VNS implant after my 21st Bday. Since then they have shortened but still remain violent. I am on the last medicine that I can possibly take called Felbamate or Felbatol. I am praying this works, one way or another.

How would you like me to be a participate?

I also get Tonic-Clonic seizures so I empathize, I too have bit through my tongue and had more head injuries than I can remember... I'm working on a documentary about epilepsy and natural healing. I am looking for people's stories other than my own, so please reach out to me if you'd like to know more or be a part of it. Either way, I hope you'll watch the film once it's finished, the hope is to give examples of natural forms of helping people cope with epilepsy and reduce seizures. Thank you for sharing your story.

I wish there was something I could do to help you; epilepsy sucks. My seizures began when I was 11 (my old stepfather thought I was faking it). There started out small, but only increased in severity as I got older.

im so sorry your going throrugh this......... have they took xrays of ur head to see if there is any abnormalties? or have they spoke of doing sugery?

I have had tons of MRI, CT scans, and xrays done of my head but they have found no abnormalities, I had the VNS surgery done last August.
