So That Changes Things....So about 5 months ago someone mentioned my shaking, I had noticed it but I didn't think it was bad enough for others to see it.
So after noticing it getting worse, I went to see my doctor. I had a few tests and today he told me I have an Essential Tremor. Now that doesn't sound bad.
Then he explained to me that it can't be cured, it will be with me forever, and it will get worse. Already i was beginning to notice small difficulty doing simple tasks, my writing looks shaky and i spill things constantly. Because it developed already over the past 6 months, it will continue to progress. He said it will spread to my head, neck and even voice, changing the way I speak.
In bad cases people with Essential tremor can't walk, talk properly or preform simple tasks at all. It's very similar to Parkinson's disease.
I have beta blockers to try and control it. They dont stop the shaking, but they calm it down but I'm not meant to take them daily, meaning I have to choose what days of my life I shake less.
So this is my life. 24 and being told that I'm going to shake 'like a ******** dog' (to exactly quote my doctor) for the rest of my life. And it's going to get worse.
