My Bliss

In the sound of your sleeping voice, whispering at night,

In the innocence of your being, illuminating with all its light.

In the sheer happiness that comes from within, this tiny little heart,

Beating only for a short time, but has captured mine from the very start.

In the moment that i lived to see for the first time and from first-sight,

As you grabbed my finger with your tiny hand, and held it tight.

In all the stages of your young life that you are going through,

In all these new and amazing things that you learn to say or do.

Watching you laugh, seeing you smile, whiping away your tears,

Keeping you safe and sound, always, protecting you from all fears.
