Gastroparesis In College

This is my first time on here and I just need to vent.... i just started my freshman year of college, i was diagnosed with gastroparesis a few months ago and its been a terrible time. If i take my medication, i usually feel okay...but in college it is so hard to remember, and i end up feeling so sick all the time. I forgot to take my medication today and just now i was eating at the cafeteria and 15-20 minutes after i was done eating i had to run out of the cafeteria because i thought i was going to throw up ...

I wish this could be permanently cured :(

But this group makes me feel better knowing that I'm not alone <3

I hope you feel better. Find a good gastroenterologist who is knowledgable about Gastroparesis. And read about it on medical websites...information is power:)
We have one called www.helpgastroparesis.org that is nonprofit and very helpful.

Hi there - My 18 year old daughter was just diagnosed with GP and we are wondering if she will be able to go off to college in the fall. Would you mind sharing what medications you find helpful and how you are managing. Thanks. LGS
