I Have Glasses
My very favourite pair of glasses are red, creaky, old and numerously fixed at home.
I've had them for four years and I can't believe they've survived the treatment I've given them. All the raves, sports lessons, dropping, stepping onto, falling on my face on ice - they are still holding together.
During the time I've had them 4 other pairs have disintegrated after being haphazardly shoved in bags, jumping around and headbanging in rock concerts and so on.
Now I'm paranoid I'll break them. I try to only wear them at home. Whenever I slip them on I immediately relax and settle into my couch potato mode.
I have a bit less to worry about since I got contacts, but when I feel like sleeping all day or glaring at people on the transit like the omen because I am not at liberty to fulfil choice #1, glasses are my top pick.
