He Asked Me to Take Them Off

I've worn glasses since I was a kid but my eyes keep getting worse and now at 16 I'm almost totally helpless without them. However met this really nice guy a few weeks ago and the other night when I was out with him he asked me to take my glasses off and try doing without them so I did. It felt really weird at first because everything was so blurred, but my boyfriend said I looked amazing and really went for me in a big way. Now I feel like going around without my glasses a lot more but I'm scared I might end up having an accident of some kind. Even so although I know it sounds stupid but I'm going to give it a try. Does anyone else who needs glasses badly ever feel this way.

Guys that are doing things like this are trying to control you, they know you will be dependent on them because you can't see without your glasses. Don't fall for it, if they can't take you for the way your are, move on!

I know a girl who works for an opticians actually who had had that experience. She is -14 so without glasses is very hard. But she loves being myopic & gets a buzz from putting her glasses on. She has a b/f who is an optician & -6 himself but seems to get a buzz out of getting her to take her glasses off, which he puts in his pocket before going to the bar to order the drinks. She spends the whole evening in a blur which I dont think is good & feel she should be more assertive. Love me, love my glasses. She is now investigating getting lens implants.

why dont u go for contacts lenses if there is a possibility of accidents.

Well, I guess you can't blame your bf. He might not think that far, so you need to tell him the potential safety problem.
