I've been wearing glasses since I was in 7th grade.  I went through a phase in 12th grade and my first 3 years of college where I wore gray contacts.  That was back in colored contacts were not that popular, so not many kids in my area had them.  They made me feel good, for whatever reason.  With my gray contacts, people would say that I looked like Tyra Banks when she was in that movie Higher Learning, so my alter ego became Deja, the name of the character she played in that movie.

After I gave up that phase, I went to clear contacts forever.  Then a few years ago, I started wearing my glasses regularly, mostly because I procrastinated on getting a new eye exam to get my contacts renewed.  I've been in my glasses ever since.

Recently I got another set of contacts and I wore them non-stop for about a week-and-a-half...then ended up in glasses again.  I probably wear my contacts 80% of the time or more depending on what I am doing.

I like wearing my glasses now because I can see things in a more crisp way with my glasses.  My contacts leave my vision slightly fuzzy.  I realize that fuzziness is a downfall of contacts, but it's not cool some times.  So I'm reserving my contacts for those times when I want to go out for a drink or something (if that ever happens) and I want to achieve a different look.
