Glasses Aren't So Bad.

I started wearing glasses exactly 1 year ago, some persons said it made me look really inteligent..duh!...like, what was i looking like before? Anyway,I stuck with the glasse cause I hoped my eyes would get better by some miracle...don't think it has- the miracle that is.So i think I get contacts now.

I think guys are intimidated by glasses (well most of them around me) cause before I started using them I got more numbers and that sort of stuff but afterwards, I don't get as much, maybe it's my "intelligent look" :) I asked a few friends who wears glasses and they said the same thing happened to them.

Does anyone else who wears glasses have that problem? Or does it only happen in my part of the world?

I have found women, more so than men to get frames that try to make a statement or be fashionable than ones that make them really look good. The women that get frames that look really good on them actually make themselves look even better than without glasses. I have always taken someone with me to pick out my glasses,( except my first pair and I lucked out with those) because sometimes they see something in a particular frame that I don't or find one that I overlooked. If it's only been one year that you are still new to wearing glasses and I think it takes a while to get really comfortable wearing them and being who you really are.

You're still the same person behind the glasses. Other people's perceptions may be different, but different from what? Don't be afraid of them. Glasses fr<x>ame your eyes, and if anyone cares to look into them, they'll probably see an amazing person. Your eyes say everything, often communicating more than you can through speech. Don't think glasses make you any less attractive. You may be surprised. Someone that sees you behind the glasses may be someone worth knowing; someone who can see below the surface.

Certain peoples' faces can actually be "fr<x>amed" beatifully with the right pair of glasses! You are fortunate! I think I like my face better without the glasses, but I loose things too much to risk contacts. But this all reminds me of the scene on Grease where one girl gets new glasses, puts them on, and asks if they make her look smarter. To which her friend casually replies," Nah, you can still see your face." lol
