Why Me

I have just recently started having panic attacks.  I never had them until about a month ago and now they seem to keep happening.  There is no specific trigger.  Just getting up in the morning lately gets it started.  What can I do to get past this?

I empathyze with you. Even though I haven't had one for a long time, I know how terrible they can make you feel. Maybe you should contact your doctor?maybe she can prescribe something to help you. I hope you get rid of them soon. My best to you.

I occasionally have one when I'm sleeping. Suddenly I'm aware that I'm asleep, and I'm spinning into this gray vortex, I can't breathe, and I'm sure that I will die if I don't wake up. I break out of it at the last minute, gasping and sweating and afraid to go to sleep again. It hasn't happened since I stopped drinking, and started taking my meds as prescribed and on schedule. I hope you break through soon, I know how awful they are.
