How Embarrasing

I had got lost once while driving and ever since then I would have panic attacks sometimes while driving. One night I was on my way home. I started looking around and i noticed how everything looked different at night. I must have traveled that road at least a billion times but on this night I somehow was convinced that I was lost. I started panicking. I couldn't breathe. I pulled the car over. I was completely convinced that I had taken a wrong turn somewhere. I never even turned off anywhere. I had been driving straight the whole time. I had a cellphone. i called my parents house. It was like 4 in the morning. I was crying and I told them I was lost. They asked me what I could see, but I was in an area with no houses or buildings. They told me to drive on til I saw a building or a road sign to tell them where I was. I hung up the phone and started driving straight. About a minute after I started driving I started to recognize my surroundings  and two minutes later I was home. I was only 2 minutes from my house! I called my parents back and told them I had found my way back to my house. I will never live this down.
