Hello, I hope I am here to tell you that you are NOT crazy. I am a 66 year old woman who had her first "bout" of AIWS in 2007 and it lasted until 2008 more than a year and I the syndrome has now returned the last four months. I have not blogged with anyone near my age with these
symptoms. I see in micropsia and sometimes in macropsia. I can't tell whete sound originates from or how my body feels. I have time disorientation, sometimes a minute seems like hours. I keep my cell phone with me all the time. I cannot drive or go out at night, when it is worse. I can't remember who I spoke with the next day. I have to write everything down or I will forget appointments. The last episode in 2007-08 I went to 12 doctors until I found a physician in the Headache Center at UCSF (Univesity of California at San Francisco) I have long term memory, but not short term. I can read, but not necessary remember what I last read. I can't feel parts of my body that hurt prior to the condition, i.e. back issues seem to disapeare. Check with a neurologist who would know about the condition and keep up looking for information and blogging (which helps hyour sanity). People see you and think everything is OK because you can't "see" this disability but you can go thru it as I did and become a communicator to others, even when it returns. I hope this helps.

I didn't know till about 3 years ago, lol.... I always felt strange and when explaining the feeling to others they though I was nuts.....
