Impossible Sound Of Bells

When I was young, maybe somewhere between the ages of 7 and 9, I had an experience that I can't explain. I was in my backyard by myself--my parents and brothers were nowhere around. I don't know what I was doing there, exactly, but I remember I was facing Southwest, looking up at the trees surrounding our yard. The closest church to my house is miles away, which is why I cannot explain this experience. I was standing out there, alone, no witnesses, and I began to hear church bells ringing, as if a church were located just across the neighborhood. I don't believe it lasted much more than 30-60 seconds. I can't remember if one of my family members had been close to dying at that time (which I now figure would be somewhat explainable as to why I heard those bells...). I don't know why I heard those bells and I believe I asked my parents if they had heard them. They didn't. It was just me, in the backyard alone, a little girl, completely oblivious when those bells started to ring. I wasn't scared, but I was old enough to know that it would have been impossible to hear any ringing bells from any church nearby. I never heard them again here--it's been close to 20 years since this happened.
