The Awkward Moments

It's always been just my underarms, it's so embarrassing. I have tried every type of product on the market and nothing works, I also tried pads you could put under your clothes but I sweat right through. I can't borrow friends clothes, I can't wear just anything it always has to be super loose or many many layers. I am scared to hug people or get close with them in fear that they will wonder why I am so sweaty, does anyone have relationships? Does your partner know? I am so scared to even tell my friends the idea of a boyfriend scares me to death!
I have spoken with my doctor who was no help, I will be going to see a naturalpath but if anyone has something that works for them please let me know!

Thanks

Hi!

I know exactly how you feel. You fear the same things I use to, and often still do. I never went on a search for medicine - worrying it would be unsuccessful. I always worried that the hope would fade with every failed remedy because my sweating is so out of control. No matter how awkward I was in social setting- the thought of being alone forever scared me the most. That does change though- with finding just that little bit of strength within yourself to tell even one friend. And then another, and so on..

I had my first relationship in high school. By then I learned to be very non challant about explaining my condition. Something along the lines of being so embarrasses that it made me sweat like a pig, and then telling them that I've actually sweat like this all my life. At which point they were interested to know something so peraonal about me that they may even be the first to know. Long story short- that relationship lasted 2.5 years, and the relationship I'm in today is well into its second year also.

There are a few tricks here and there that I have picked up along the way to help mask/alleviate/understand HH that I would love to share with you. If you ever find you need a friend I would like to help.

Hi! I have the same problem...I have it in my hands, feet and underarms and lived with it for so long. I always wear black (so you won't see the sweat) and it's hard to wear sandals, tank tops, etc. I found telling friends/family is better than not. I found this site for sweat control; kleinerts.com. I am also taking some medicine and it helps. If you need more info, let me know.
