I usually only have insomnia during the summer. I feel like I am doing it to myself on purpose. I mean, I want to go to sleep, I just can't and when I feel like I can't sleep I turn on my laptop, which, in turn, keeps me awake. I stay up till about 5 or 6 a.m. (on my laptop) and then sleep through part of the day. I hate doing it , but sometimes I feel like that is really the only time when I can be alone with my thoughts. Although, I lock myself in my room for most of the day I still don't feel alone in the physical sense. Anyway, I've tried Valerian root pills and they didn't work at all. I think I'm going to try melatonin before the fall semester starts, has anybody tried it?
