Posted May 16th, 2009 at 8:34AM When my husband died, I started going to sleep to soothing music which would shut itself off. This is more difficult to do when you are not sleeping alone. The mind can only think about one thing at a time, so you might try a relaxation technique where you focus your mind on relaxing one part of the body at a time - starting with one foot - the other foot - left lower leg - right lower leg - etc. I know from experience this is not easy with an overactive mind but it does help tame the mind and relax the body. | |
