Sleep Is the Devil

Where do I start? I have such a love-hate relationship with sleep. I want to love it, but I can only hate it.

Because of my sleep apnea and my periodic limb movement, my sleep is often disturbed, regardless of anything else. Add to that the fact that I have a non-24-hour circadian rhythm, and things get really interesting. Recurrent insomnia above and beyond all of that is just the icing on the cake.

I have slept only 24 hours this week.

That's because you are Special, exactly the way you are you are made Perfect.. Accept who you are, and Love Yourself. And get away from all the Haters who say you need to change to be around them. You're Better than them. Kick 'em to the curb.

Please tell us .... is your sleep apnea being treated ? CPAP ?

Have you been to a sleep specialist?. I do not know if you are aware there is a link between sleep apnea, PLMD ,insomnia and diabetes .
A sleep study may answer your questions

Your problem probably is the diabetes.
Fortunately at college there is no TV or alcohol (if you actually care about your grades), a lot of exercise, and very little food options if you're broke. Banana or nothing. But still, there is no sleep at college.
I am sorry to hear about yours though. That sincerely sucks.

I don't drink alcohol and I don't watch tv either, I get plenty of exercise and I have to eat right because I have diabetes so I don't know what my problem is then?!

Type 1 or 2

As a cure to Insomnia, I would like to follow the advice given by Velosapien and watch less TV, recently I had been watching TV for over 6 hours a day. Eating right and excercising is fine with me.

Yep same here. I am as well light sleeper so any movement will wake me up. The problem is that I get suddenly so sleepy but when i go the the bed I am awake. I have tried to have short nap but then i slept 0 hr all day and night. I am eating well, exercise well and hardly drink. The only good think is that I can do a lot.

aww! So sorry to here that babe. i hope you can find a way to fix that. i know it has to suck.

I used to suffer from insomnia, but I found the cure: Less TV, more exercise, less alcohol, eating right. Going to bed earlier.
Now I sleep like a baby. A dead baby.

I do the exact same things that you do and get about the same amount of sleep. It's really draining isnt' it? It's like the day goes by in a haze.
