I've Had Insomnia For As Long As I Can Remember.

But it's never really had much of an effect on me, maybe because I've never really been able to sleep normally.  It's rare that I go to bed before 4am and on a normal night I can get by on two or three hours of sleep.  But after a week or two of only two or three hours of sleep a night I always end up crashing in the middle of the day and sleeping for anywhere from twelve to fifteen hours at a time.  But I like my insomnia because after lying awake for three or four hours I'll get out of bed and start writing.  I write my best stuff in the middle of the night when I should be sleeping.

Your body needs sleep to repair itself. the older you get the more dangerous this deprivation will be, so i urge you to look into natural sleep solutions, like 5-HTP and melatonin.
