Poor Thing

You know you have well and truly killed your dictionary when you find yourself using it's front cover as a bookmark. I was pretty cruel to it though. It had several trips down the stairs the bumpy way and almost fell into the hands of my little sister once. In the end, it was the 2p coin that finished it. I lent down to pick up the 2p and knocked the dictionary so it started plummeting down to the ground. I tried to save it, but when I grabbed the cover the rest of the dictionary just kept going. Poor thing. It has been by my side since I was 7ish.
