THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER

There will never be another horse like him, he was born a champion. Once in a lifetime a cowboy is blessed with a truly magnificent horse and I was so blessed with Dash. Big strong and handsome he could take me anywhere do anything. Pure power and grace. Stocky, big and strong with a heart of gold. He was an athelete beyond any other yet always a little boy who couldn't resist messing with me when he got the chance.
Riding him made me feel like a champion too, he made me look good and trust me it was all him.
Legs like tree trunks a chest almost two feet across pure power. He would have been 25 this year and could still out run a 4 year old and never get winded. Always figured he would outlive me
Destroyed by an infection we could not stop.
He gallops across heaven now and I know when I hear thunder it is his hoofbeats as he runs across the sky
GOODBYE MY FRIEND I KNOW YOU WILL BE WAITING FOR ME I PROMISE THE FIRST THING I WILL DO WHEN I GET THERE IS SADDLE YOU UP AND LET YOU CARRY ME ACROSS THE SKY.

I feel ya. I lost my best horse when I was 17. Since then I've had other horses, I loved them but they never captured my heart like my quarter horse. Time has helped the rawness of the loss but it still resides in my soul. I wish you the best in you journey. It will be hard but think about all that sweet love you gave your horse. That's a blessing in itself. Not all horses get loved on. Your a good man for loving an animal so much. Big hugs and a rose for the loss of your best friend.

All my love...
