My Dearest Lady Bug

It seemed all too quick, las week she was...or at least appeared so normal. She was getting old though...I knew that she was going to leave me at some point.

I met her 12 years ago at the local pound. She was found roaming around the mall...and she had a perfectly wrinkled forehead...and she was being kept in the part of the kennel where they dont necessarily get adopted if you know what I mean. I fell in love with her then. I had to have her.

she had the most unique personality I have ever experienced among dogs. She was special in every way...she was so smart, so stubborn, and so very much her. Her name was Lady...and she was so dear to my heart. She has been the only true constant in my life over the last 12 years...other then of course my dear parents. But lady was special in so many ways. She was tough, dedicated, and she was so special to me.

in 1 week...she went from seeming normal to not even being able to walk...stopped eating and deteriorated quick. CAncer had her internally...and she must have hidden it from us for a long time. thats what they say that dogs do.

I loved and cuddled with her for the last 24 hours She could no longer walk...she was so weak...and every breath was a struggle. I could no longer see her we had the vet come over yesterday...and as her whole family held her...and told her how much we loved her...she passed. It was so was the most difficult thing I have had to do.

I miss her already....and I hope she is with my sister now...who left me the same way ( cancer ) many years ago. But I know they are together heaven looking down on me. I hope she knows how special she was to me...and how much we all loved her!!! she will always be my Lady Bug...and Ill never forget her as long as I live...and until I hope...I see her again.

Surely if there is a heaven, they deserve to be there. Surely if we are to be happy if we get to heaven, we would have to be with them again. Bless you for being such a kind and loyal friend to Lady Bug all her life.

I cry with you, I too lost my my beloved pet
