Unfortunately, I've Lost Many.

A personal story in the experience: I Have Lost a Beloved Pet
I have lost too many pets.  I've lost 3 ferrets; Hopper, Peppy and Louie.  Hopper died of cancer, the poor guy.  Peppy died in his sleep and I can't remember how Louie died.  I cried when each of them died.  I've also lost 3 cats; Max, Tashy and Bogie.  Max died of Feline Lukemia when I was really young, so I have no real memory of that, only what my mother has told me.  Bogie died of rabies.  He got in a fight with another cat who had it and the cat bit him.  I was 6 when he died and I remember my mother crying.  Then there was Tashy, she died of old age.  I was 16 when she passed, and I cried.  I've also lost a bird-Beastie-and a fish-Apollo.  Beastie died of complications from her ovulation period.  I cried when she died, too.

There were also three dogs.  They didn't die, but we gave them up.  Their names were Cous Cous, Luna and Bruiser.  Cous Cous was my baby girl and I cried for 2 weeks straight after we sent her away.  I can't help but wonder what kind of life she had after she left us.  I hope it was good.

Right now I have 6 cats, all of whom I love dearly, and I don't even want to think of what it will be like when they pass.  I'll probably cry forever.

Losing animals is just too freaking hard.

My dog died on Monday July 14, 2008 this week. He would have been 16 years old on August 8th. Fleas are deadly and the sad thing is I had flea medication on him which apparently served as a condiment to them eating my dog alive. So despite the fact that I can't afford it, I bought $55 worth of a flea medication that has worked better than the other brand which was a waste of money in order to keep my remaining animals alive. Then I went online to look for home remedies and discovered that things such as boiling lemon and steeping it over night, using garlic or yeast in their hair can help. If I had only known this two weeks ago my dog might still be alive. He would have smelled like garlic from head to toe and been on a steady diet of yeast popcorn. The site said either eating it or putting it in their hair was said to work.

I have lost many beloved pets as well. I wont list them as it is still very painful to think of. The thing is you never completely get over it, you just go on. I have five kitties now and I dread losing them. (Even the ones who aren't partial to me) The lesson I have learned is to treasure them EVERY minute you are with them because their lives are just too short.

I had a beautiful white schnorkie, his name was Milo. I love that dog so much. He was only with me for a short five months but he ate with me and he slept with me and he even showered with me believe it or not. He had to be put to sleep on Thurdsay Sept 18th. He was born with a heart murmur and for some reason his liver wasn't cleansing his blood and he just could get well. The only humane thing I could do is let him go. It hurts so bad I have cryed every night and day since. Will it ever get better? If anyone knows the answer to that please let me know I still miss him and look for him everyday. I do have five Schnauzers and my son has a stashire terrier and they help but even they are looking for milo. Myu friend wants me to get another puppy but there is just no way I could ever be that close to another one is there?
