h ey, grandpa? remember all those times i came over to your house when i was younger? remember how i used to pretend i was making you lots of yummy treats in those plastic containers me and john loved so much?

hey, grandpa? do you remember how you used to take me and john to the park? how you would push me on the swing and i would laugh in delight as i soared into the air? do you remember me sitting on the metal bars that made a car with the 3 pieces of wood for a seat? do you remember me saying "BEEP! BEEP! GRANDPA MARVIN!" and you would laugh and smile, and i would say "I'm gonna run you over now!"

hey, grandpa? do you remember how i used to pile a lot of sugar onto my cerial? do you remember how we used we used to eat all of the donuts?

hey, grandpa? do you think it will get easier? do you think i will forget you?

hey, grandpa? Are you proud of me? Do you like what ive become?

hey, grandpa? do you know how sorry i am? do you remember the last time you saw me before you died? it must've been 8 or 9 years ago. maybe even more.

hey, grandpa? i hope you know how much i missed you. I hope you know i wish i could've been there. I wish i could've held your hand one last time. I wish i could've sat down on the swing and let you buckle me in before sending me soaring into the sky. i wish i could've sat down on that metal car that is no more and honked my imaginary horn at you.

I wish i could see your smile again.

Hey, Grandpa? is it you that makes my candles flicker, or my lights turn on and off when im sad? Are you the white light i saw go across my bedroom when i was afraid?

Hey, grandpa? I love you, and i miss you.  I hope you get this.
