I Have Lost My Baby
on 22 august this year i went for my scan that i had privatly booked as i had a dating scan at 8 weeks that showd a heartbeat,so the hospital wouldnt give me another until 20 weeks.i was so exited for the arrival of our first baby i couldnt wait.i shold have been 14 weeks exactly and had been to antenatal that same morning,although i did not hear the heart beat,the dpctor said my size was fine from feeling the fundal hight and said she had heard the baby moving and had wrote in my notes that the heart was heard,i was extatic and couldnt wait for my scan,i arrived for my scan that tea time,complete with my fiance and both of our mothers,the sonographer started the scan ,an image of our tiny baby lay there motionless,the little heart not beating,i was informed there was no way any thing had been heard on the doppler as my child had died at least two weeks previous.how did that doctor not notice,what would have happened if i never had that scan??that was just the begining wot happened in hospital is too bad to write ,i cant belive women are treat like we are.
