When I Die

Some say when sinners die they will be unable to look God in the face. Ashamed, they will willingly flee to the underworld rather than face the Heavenly Father they betrayed.

Not me. I will make eye contact with God. I will stare into those blazing, judgmental eyes, daring him to look away first.

"No," I will tell him, "I did not believe in you during my life in the mortal world. It looks like I was wrong all along. But I am not apologizing.

"What did you expect? That I'd realize your reality from a scattering of hearsay and ancient texts? What kind of thing is faith, anyway? It's belief in something without evidence, I know. There are many things without evidence. How was I supposed to know I had to believe in you, but not in Santa Clause or the Loch Ness Monster?

"How is it that the only way you're allowed to make yourself known is through feelings that are indistinguishable from self-delusions? I thought you were all-powerful? If I had to either accept your existence or suffer for eternity, you'd think you could have just told me you exist. Yeah, that would've been nice to know.

"The thing about me is, I'm very rational. It was only a matter of time before I started weighing the truths told to me by my parents against logic and evidence. After considering all sides of the argument and thinking long and hard about it, I came to the conclusion that you most likely did not exist. Is it my fault that the world you created testifies to your non-existence?

"The funny thing is, you KNEW that I was a rational person. In fact, you're the one who made my brain that way! With this wacky universe you created where the only way to win is to have touch of irrationality and delusion, you basically set me up for failure!

"Well, congrats. My mind operated exactly how you knew it would. I guess you're gonna banish me to hell now. No need to force me. I'll walk myself. No matter how awful it is down there, it'll be better than spending an eternity is 'heaven' with you, you disgusting old man."

The evidence for my belief is being added to each and every day, if you believe that no evidence exists does not mean there isn't any.Perhaps as you get older you may have a change of heart.

What evidence points to Gods non existence, this has been argued about for thousands of years?

It isn't my intent to change anything you believe, but from my own stance the Bible and it's reliability and accuracy as to times dates and people is proof to me that God exists, when you couple this with the evidence for creation then one supports the other, the only alternative to creation is Evolution, and it has been found wanting for lack of evidence, some say God used evolution to brings things about but this cannot be justified from the Bible from my point of view, i was an unbeliever for a long long time, but now i am old the isssue has long been settled for me anyway, others are still searching and they may or may not find what they are looking for as time passes, if God doesn't exist where do these atrocities you mention apply to?
