I Lost a Brother to Lung Cancer

A little over a year ago, I lost my younger brother to lung cancer. He was 42 and had never smoked. He was diagnosed at 40 when he was having difficulty breathing. He thought his allergies were acting up but they found he had a huge fluid buildup in his chest. He had surgery to drain the fluid and bond his lung to his chest wall. I spent about a month taking care of him. He lived almost two years to the day after he was diagnosed. I was with him when he died.

I can remember how excited I was when my baby brother was born. My father taking is to the hospital to see him and as I was the youngest girl but yet 9 years old I was given charge of seeing to him in the early morning for feeding and diapering him. He was like my own baby.<br />
