Personal Growth, Personal Independence: The Limit Is Me
By Robin Good
One day all the employees reached the office and they saw a big advice on the door on which it was written:
"Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room that has been prepared in the gym".
In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their colleagues, but after a while they started getting curious to know who was that man who hindered the growth of his colleagues and the company itself.
The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room.
The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up. Everyone thought: "Who is this guy who was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!".
One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when they looked inside it they suddenly became speechless. They stood nearby the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul.
There was a mirror inside the coffin: everyone who looked inside it could see himself.
There was also a sign next to the mirror that said:
"There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth: it is YOU.
You are the only person who can revolutionize your life. You are the only person who can influence your happiness, your realization and your success. You are the only person who can help yourself.
Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your parents change, when your partner changes, when your company changes. Your life changes when YOU change, when you go beyond your limiting beliefs, when you realize that you are the only one responsible for your life.
"The most important relationship you can have, is the one you have with yourself"
Examine yourself, watch yourself. Don't be afraid of difficulties, impossibilities and losses: be a winner, build yourself and your reality.
The world is like a mirror: it gives back to anyone the reflection of the thoughts in which one has strongly believed.
The world and your reality are like mirrors laying in a coffin, which show to any individual the death of his divine capability to imagine and create his happiness and his success.
It's the way you face Life that makes the difference

-

-
They should make learnt a word. "Look at what I learnt at school today mommy!"
-
someone grab a dictionary
-
You've got to be kidding me. It's already a word!
(Looks up at God) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! -
lol oh! i didn't look it up! i use both lol
-
Why did no one tell me it was already a word!?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
I use either but always wondered which was correct. Perhaps it differs in different countries. Like in the USA 'Z' gets used a lot more than in words here. eg Socialize vs socialise.
-
I didn't even know learnt actually existed till today.
-
they say we learn something new every day. lol
-
Great story.
-
That's a good story, somewhat inspiring... and I know its meaning is true..
-
I too had got the same email long ago, and I still remember it.. Its so true, it is our thought and belief systems that set a limit to our capabilities.
-
That is a good story...it is true I am the one limiting myself. I just dont know how to overcome it.
-
This is a wonderful inspirational story! Thank you for sharing!

Having been incontinent all my life, I can relate well to the story. Feeling sorry for myself in my younger days, but kicked myself in the butt and moved on. Always trying new products and trying to keep a positive perspective on my life.
Incontinent Al -
awesomw story! i am very inspired to allow myself to experience unlimited possibilities....
-
I liked this part the best.
"Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your parents change, when your partner changes, when your company changes. Your life changes when YOU change, when you go beyond your limiting beliefs, when you realize that you are the only one responsible for your life."
Still, like most things, it is easier said than done. I will try to keep this in mind when I have my bad days full of doubts. -
love this :)

A very appropriate message for me at this time in my life and I thank you for sharing. Looking into my own mirror I see a woman who has overcome a lot in life so far. Changes are in the works for a better life that I embrace totally. This reinforces my abilities and strengths. A new life full of what my heart desires is now present and keeps me focused. The future is full of good and positive feelings. My new life is happening and I am finally becoming the person I was meant to be. Getting to the place where my life journey has traveled for so long. A place of peace and acceptance. A place that I deserve. Blessings,D.

Don't let your life be fr
amed by self doubt and low self esteem. No one of us is perfect.....we ALL have issues to be dealt with...every single one of us!!! You are unique in the universe....remember that. If you need help to conquer your fearsand attain insight find a good therapist. I searched for many years before the right one appeared. I was absolutely ready for her, and into my life she arrived. The change has been remarkable, and I am finally at peace (I had suffered for most of my life with what the same feelings are dealing with now, so I can truly empathize with you. I don't know how old you are, but it is never too late to change. If you would like to write to me, I will most definitely answer.....my heart aches for you. Thank you for sharing your story. Namaste, Marion -
