    Hi there,
Im sorry/sad to hear about you precious son :( , may i reassure you that its normal to freak out when you hear about LP and especially someone you love with all your heart has it , so u google websites, pictures etc and ur desperate for answers, u can't sleep , your worried, scared etc , may I tell you this is al soooooo normal. It is a rare condition and not a lot of information is yet known about this. You as his mother needs to be strong mentally and physically for him! I have only know for 3 years that I have LP and I cried for 1 year, so many things went through my head - am I going to live for the sake of my 4 small kids? This was my only concern. Sure appearance was embarrassing but my love for my kids was far greater.( I'd rather be alive looking ugly then dead) I was re-assured by specialist that we must "learn to live life and not let it effect our quality of life" when I approached this attitude my spirits lifted and my focus was not negative and I looked forward to life and not sit, sulk and be negative. I know it would be very hard to have a child with this and as a mother you probably wish it was you and not him but can I suggest- you have him, enjoy him, he is no different, he is special, a wonderful precious gift from god, nuture him and believe in him so he may believe in himself. Find a great specialist and follow up on his check ups- all the best- ur an awesome mum!
