My Grandfather Is a Holocaust Survivor

My paternal grandfather was born in Germany in 1920 and didn't come to America until 1946.  He lost almost all of his family in the Holocaust, but by some miracle he survived Dachau, Sachsenhausen, and Auschwitz, among others.

My maternal grandparents were fortunate enough to leave Austria in 1938.

If you would like to chat with me more about his experience that would be great

its amazing that he survived auschwitz, such an infamous camp

He has quite a few tales to tell about his life then. I'm glad he made it out. It is fascinating to stand before someone you know has witnessed so much of world history that we youngsters only read about in books.
