I Have Never Been In a Long Term Relationship

 I  have been in one long term relationship but he was the last. He  really broke my heart. I was 19 and he was 35. He was really sweet. He used to take my  shopping and let me borrow his car but he drank waaaay  too much and smoke  weed.  He is married  now and we play this online game  thing together  but I am glad it didn't work out, but somehow I think that breakup really hurt me. I have been so cold ever since and haven't had  a relationship ever  since.

    Sorry to see that you didn't get a relationship that last. But you can chalk up one experience that will help you choose better on the next relationship, and happy hunting.

    I know this might sound bad but recently he had to go to the hospital because of some heart issues he was having. One of the biggest reasons we had problems was because he drank too much and then would argue with everyone the next day. I used to tell him that he was going to have a heart attack if he kept doing what he was doing. I am glad he wasn't to hurt but I am also glad that I saw my future with him accurately and that it ended. It took 7 years to see that I made a good choice and I am so glad that I did make that choice. I am not as bitter as I once was, I am really taking the time now to love myself and my son first and things have gotten better.

    Thank You CPA guy you have been a HUGE support through this whole process. You are right I did have trust issues. I discovered it was about the things that I was doing, not being loyal to myself and when I looked in the mirror at the end of the day I didn't like what I saw. Through healthy living and sacrifice my life has turned around. Since foster care one of my favorite versus from the bible is 1 Corinthians 13. Love is the only answer to a life worth living.
