For What Reason?

Have you ever noticed....that people seem to have this strange obsession with being in a relationship? At school, I watch as, over and over, they go through the same process of a rocky relationship, break up, depression/angry phase, new bf/gf. Its pretty pathetic. I understand being lonely, but I am not going to go out of my way to have a relationship just because I am lonely. I will wait for someone I actually like. If that person is hard to find, well I suppose I will just wait longer.
I overheard a girl talking the other day... "I just broke up with my boyfriend, so do you think I should go for (insert name) now? I think he said he was interested..I don't know if I like him though. Maybe I should ask him out.."
Really? I am not trying to criticize anyone for their choices, but why do you need to have that constant relationship and make it hard on yourself?

People...are so strange....

People get used to being in a relationship. They break up and are depressed. They need something to feel the void and boost their ego. Being alone is very difficult. It's good to have standards but sometimes it's good to take a chance to see what might develop.
