have no problems meeting new people or making friends. Despite my Social Anxiety, I am a very social person. This is why this disorder is such a crippling thing to me. It hurts to be overcome by it, when I really want to socialize at a moment, but can't and have to retreat.
But online, it's easier for me to find people to talk with. And as far as friends lists goes, on any web community, I often have quite a bit on there.
My only problem is, I may have came across and chat with MANY people (at least over 200 in the last two years)... but they're not always so kind and the true faces emerge. And then I have to break contact, which always sucks. :-/
But amidst the disappointments, I do have a nice group of people that I enjoy being around and talking with. You guys and girls know who you are! :-D
So, it's not so hard to meet new people online or offline. I just show up with a smile, a friendly hello, and a kind word. And that's all it takes. :-)
OH, and above all else, I JUST BE MYSELF....
