People only pretend to like me or tolerate my presence because they need me to do something for them. I spent 4 years of high school as a walking doormat basically. Recently, an old "friend" from high school contacted me on Facebook the other day. At first I was happy to hear from him but then we started chatting. It turns out that the only reason he contacted me was to see if I could help him with a paper he was writing for one of his college classes. I'm scared I'm never gonna meet people that like me for who I am and not just suit their convenience. I'm currently in college and I feel like the same thing is happening.
