have Notalgia Paresthetica. I received my diagnosis this morning after 5 years of an unidentified itch between my spine and right shoulder blade. The "itch" escalated this summer when a soft knot developed below the itch. Then 3 weeks ago I had to drive 8 hours to and from a family crisis and the constant contact with the car seat caused a large red patch to develop which has not gone away. The dermatologist has given me prescription strength steriod ointment. The interesting part is that my brother has exactly the same problem in exactly the same location. It really begs a genetic link. I am interested in hearing about other non-invasive relief remedies.
