I Have Found The Key To Coping

I have OCD and went to a therapist for the first time yesterday. It was confirmed that I have OCD, although I've always thought so. I don't really have compulsive behaviors, but I have obsessive thoughts that make it hard for me to focus on other things or sometimes even function. The therapist suggested a book that I have started reading and I am already doing so much better. I recommend it to anyone trying to cope and overcome OCD. The book is called "Brain Lock: Free Yourself from Obsessive-Compulsive Behavior" by Jeffrey M. Schwartz, M.D.

My boyfriend has this type of OCD which I guess they call "Pure O." It's really difficult because he'll question things I do or say because he can't shake certain thoughts from his head that will remain there until he lets it out. I try to be understanding, but it's difficult sometimes. I know the journey ahead may not be easy but I have faith that you will come out ahead :)
