Fornix Reconstruction Due To Ocp

My OCP got to the stage where my scarring prevented my eye from closing and with the threat of damage to the cornea the Doctors decided to operate.

In April I had a fornix reconstruction to my right eye which involved removing all the scarring which stuck my eyelid to the eye ball and taking grafts out of my mouth to make new inner eye lids.

It really is amazing what they can do these days.

It wasn't a very pleasant recovery due to having a plastic conformer in my eye, to keep the grafts in place, for approx 8 weeks.

My eye is now settling down again but it has been a long process which I hope I don't need to repeat on the other eye.
