Pete

I am a clinic coordinator of a medical research company. I am preparing to do a study on SOH. I was wanting to get on this site to learn about the experiences of people who have this medical condition so I might be able to better treat my patients. Thank you in advance for sharing..

Hi!
Guess what! I have orthostatic hypotension! It turns out that I've had it since... well a really long time(possibly before the age of 2) I don't know but ive always gotten dizzy it just got a lot worse this year and was diagnosed after 4 hospital trips and many doctor visits.
Anyway, the 2 worst things about it are other people freaking out when they see you randomly fall to the ground, and the second is when you are trying to do something and end up on the ground unable to move due to dizziness, it really disrupts life in general. The hospital doctors originally prescribed me thermo-tab salt tablets, which my body doesn't tolerate, and lots of liquids. When they learned I couldn't deal with the salt tabs they told me to eat a lot of salty stuff. The issue is, I don't know what types of salty foods I can eat while staying healthy and without gaining lots of weight. A list of suggested foods would be very appreciated.
