Sometimes I Have Panic Attacks...

Sometimes I have panic attacks.  I guess it depends on the situation that I'm in , but it's certainly not fun.

I have had several panic attacks in the past year. There are several things you can do to soothe yourself while you are in a panic attack.<br />

Instead of being obtrusive by breathing into a paper bag when you are hyperventilating, cup your hands into your mouth. When you hyperventilate, you take in too much oxygen. Cupping your hands over your mouth will help you breathe in carbon dioxide.<br />

Breathe in for a count of seven and exhale for a count of 11. Some people suggest counting backwards from 100 by threes but this only frustrates me.<br />
