I Have Parsonage Turner Syndrome
Five years ago in May, suddenly I had severe pain in my left shoulder and arm. It was the worst pain I have ever felt. I went to the Emergency Room and by then I could not walk steady. I spent five days in the hospital, had three cat scans, five different doctors and was diagnosed. They sent me home on pain meds. 6 months later I went to a neurologist and was diagnosed with PTS. I had physical therapy for 6 months. He said the good news is this usally goes away, but sometimes does not. I have no pain, but I still have numbness in my right hand and fingers. I sometimes at night wear the splint that was made for my right hand and that helps a lot.
