It's Taken Some Time.

When I first was diagnosed with Pcos, I was 18. I had just gotten married to the most wonderful man, and was going to the gynocologist to make sure everything was on the up and up. It wasn't. My periods had slowed and become irregular by this point, and I just assumed that it was the stress of life, and that we were planning a wedding. I was wrong. They slowed down to the point where I would only have 3 or 4 a year. I am now 25 and cannot have a menstrual cycle without the aide of hormones.
We adopted a wonderful daughter a few years ago, and I am sure glad we did. She is wonderful. I can't imagine my life without her in it. I had a really hard ajustment period, it took a few years to not feel depressed everytime I saw a pregnant woman.
I feel for any other woman who has to go through what I did. It was hell. I am proof that you can make it out the other side in one piece though, just maybe a bit more jagged around the edges.
