Me And My Bad Ovaries

Hello. My name is Kayli and this is my story. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 13 years old. I am currently 18. When I was diagnosed I felt both a sense of relief and fear. I was relieved because I could finally put a name to the excruciating pain that I was in almost all the time. However I was scared, up till now I was under the impression that getting your period was painless. You just bleed for a week, maybe a little cramping. So I was not prepared to ball my eyes out while curled up in bed because it hurt to breathe, never mind move. Not to mention my period was all over the god damn place. One day this week, three days next week, and then nothing for a month or two. This was nothing like they informed me about in those stupid videos we had to watch in 5th grade. This was a nightmare. So I went to my doctor and she put me on the pill. The pill really helped out a lot with regulating my period. However, I was and still am in pain a lot, not only while on my period but also the whole week after. It's horrible. So I did some research online and the news just kept getting worse. Between fertility issues and cancer I was so done with this condition, I still am and I thinks that's the hardest part. That there is no cure. No matter what I do or how much I hate it, I will always have to live with my bad ovaries.
