Hello im new to this site. I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 days ago, im really scared , i dont know what to do. Its really deppressing to know that im gonna have to take treatment in order for me to have a baby someday! It really brakes my heart! I dont feel like im a real women! I told my boyfriend about it and he supports me! He makes me feel love but its still really hard for me! I've never talked to anyone about this because i feel like they are gonna laugh at me! I really need to talk to someone that is going thru all of this :/

    I really want kids too. I am terrified that it will never happen and I am scared because PCOS puts us at a higher risk of endometrial cancer. I know what you mean about people thinking it isn't a big deal or even down playing it. People keep telling me not to worry about it, that everything is going to be fine. It makes me so angry to hear it because they don't know if it is going to be fine and it is easy for them to say it isn't a big deal because they aren't the ones going through it. I have found a few good friends that are very supportive and good listeners. They are godsends. I am following my treatment regiment and I have recently decided to start a low-carb diet and try my best to lose 15 lbs. I guess I won't really know my chances for having children until it is time to start trying. I wish you all the best and will check back to see how you are doing.

    Thank you so much.this really means a lot to me. Im just so scared, i want to have kids someday, but what if i cant :/

      I'm not to sure hun. I haven't done that much research on the having kids part. I don't want kids. I'm more concerned with my own well being of stopping the body hair growth & loss of it on my head & not getting diabetes

    Hey. I know how you feel. Iv had PCOS for years but didn't know about it till last year & I'm just now going back on birth control to help it. I know its scary & depressing but it doesn't make you any less of a women. & people won't laugh at you if they love you then they will understand its something you can't control & support you. I'm here if you need to talk. I don't know everything about it but I know a bit.
