Toilet Paper Cravings....

Hello there fellow Pica people! I have had the problem of eating things I shouldn't for most of my life. I mostly have the problem of eating toilet paper. When I was younger (7 or 8) I would also eat drywall from a hole that was in my bedroom wall because it tasted good and I liked the chalky feel. But I would always eat toilet paper whenever I could; there was a time that I was eating some of a roll that was in my dad's truck and my brother caught me. He ratted me out to our dad and I got in trouble and they treated me like I was just disgusting, so I've hid the craving ever since.
I am now 22 years old and I still struggle with the craving to eat toilet paper. I am not anemic and I do not have an iron deficiency. I married my husband 3 years ago and it's been a long hard road hiding it from him; I've only just recently tried explaining my problem to him but I don't think he understands. When I talk with him about it he just kind of looks at me like I'm crazy or something is wrong with me (which there probably is if I'm eating toilet paper.) We just had our first daughter 3 months ago and going 9 months without eating or at least chewing on toilet paper was one of the hardest things I've done in in a while. I don't eat it as often as I used to but there are times when I just can't help myself and I have to eat it.
We just watched a 20/20 show on this disorder and it made me feel better to know that I'm not the only one out there who has this problem/craving.
My name is Bonnie, and this is my story. I'm glad to meet you all!
