Thought It Was The Flu

On December 3rd 2012 I stared feeling like I was coming down with the flu. Horrible head ache, body aches and pains, night sweats and fever. By Friday I was not getting any better. My boyfriend took me to the doctor. He said I have bronchitis and gave me a prescription for amoxicillin. In went home thinking I would start feeling better. Within three days it was clear that I was not getting better. Anthony my boyfriend took me again to the doctor where they tested my oxygen levels. They were so low that they demanded I be admitted to hospital. There they tested my blood and sputum and put me on oxygen and an I'VE antibiotic for severe pneumonia.
This was the first time I have ever been to the hospital. I started to un-ravel emotionally. Being in the hospital is a far cry from being in a healing environment.
They released me on Friday of this last week under the proviso of renting my own oxygen machine.
I am still very weak, have night sweats and have to have the oxygen at all times.
This experience has truly changed me and my outlook on life. I am hoping that the recovery time will not take to long. I can only rest, pray and hope that the antibiotics are killing any and all infections within my body.
Please if you are reading this: A. Get the flu and pneumonia vaccine, B. wash your hands where ever you go. I don't want anyone else to have to suffer the way I have.
