I Have Prosopagnosia
So this happened before I was married but dating my wife.
I needed a technical manual so we went along to Foyles (a very big book shop). I had been here many times but it was a first for my wife. After about half an hour I'd found the book I needed and paid for it. My wife had drifted off and was browsing through other sections. A couple of hours later she was still engrossed but I was, by now, feeling quite frustrated and finally decided to take the bull by the horns.
I went and found her upstairs, took her by the hand and said "Come on we've got all day. I'm taking you for a meal. We can come back later if you want". I then took her by the hand and led her down the stairs and out onto the street. It was then that I saw the wife, still inside the store, watching me through one of the windows. Her jaw was practically on the floor. I then turned around to the girl (I was still holding by the hand). I was totally lost for words. This poor girl then broke the silence saying "So where are we going?"
