So was it the subject they found threatening or was it the potential for positive feedback?

Maybe the word 'racism' alone invokes a form of insanity!

-Here's what I think about "racism"-

Calling someone racist, is it a cut throat tactic? It dose cause confusion. People may no longer want to know why something happened, instead they want to know: Who the 'victim' of the hate crime was. This is bad. How do you know that this so called "victim" isn't lying to save their own reputation?

    Here is an example:

"In Vancouver, a Washington woman named Bethany Storro, said an African-American woman threw a cup of acid on her face at a Starbucks which of course left her face scarred. She said the African-American woman said, "Hey pretty girl, do you want to drink this?" But as it turns out it was a hoax, she lied about everything, she threw acid on her own face. Why would you do that to yourself?

Ironically, Storro had been slated to appear on Oprah to discuss her attack ("to inspire people and tell them about Jesus" she said), but canceled abruptly once questions were raised about her story."

One might start to ask: was this a hate crime, or was this a publicity stunt?

As for statistics, they aren't very scientific as they are usually rigged to specific study groups, which are sought out by the person trying to create noteworthy statistics.
