Wouldn't more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere be good for plants? Saving the rainforest causes global warming?

In theory global warming is due to too much co2 in the atmosphere. By tearing down the trees, less co2 will be absorbed and will therefore be in our atmosphere. It hasnt been proven that co2 is harming the planet though, so nobody knows for sure.

Thank you very much. My random thought is why people don't ask the obvious questions on issues like this.

Yeah, people just jump to conclusions without ever taking the time to do the research.
