My husband was just told that this is what he has. One day his fingers started turning white. Then it started in all his fingers. They look like a dead persons hands. They are cold and he has no feeling in them. He also is a meat cutter. He works in 32degrees all day. That dosen't help any.

Hi abiglass I can relate to thinking you are alone in this. I once thought that too. The building that I work in is sometimes cold and when it is I wear my gloves all day. One day a friend of mine gave me a new pair of gloves that she claimed were Raynauds friendly. They were warm but not bulky so I can still text. Then she told me that she has it too. When people see me wearing gloves some laugh but others will tell me about someone they know. I recently had a little boy come up and tell me about his Mom having Raynauds after seeing my gloves. He told me how dangerous it is to look for things in the freezer and to always wear leather gloves when it's really cold. My gloves have started many other conversations where I discovered other people who have this. As far as suggestions; stay warm, I treat my gloves like a security blanket I always have a pair near by, I have several pairs in different colors. My gloves are cloth but if it's very cold I wear leather gloves over them. If your Raynauds is similar to mine stress can cause an attack on it's own, no cold required. I try to tell myself that if it won't matter in ten years it doesn't matter.
