I Have Rescued a Dog
My previous dog passed away 2 years ago and financial pressures kept me from getting a new one. About a year ago I started volunteering with a local K-9 Search and Rescue group and while being a support person was fun I really wanted to get my own dog to begin training as a rescue dog.
I recently found a wonderful girl named Ethel on a Bloodhound rescue site. She wasn't too far from me and best of all she was free to a good home. Needless to say, I emailed them immediately and ended up bringer her home later the next week. She is a fabulous dog and eager to please. She has started her training as a tracking / trailing dog and did well on her second trail. It was a short one, but it's a start to what I hope to be a fabulous job for my new baby.
